In a world shaped by diverse cultures, traditions, and shared human experiences, music continues to stand as a universal language of understanding. Through his powerful musical project “No More War,” renowned accordionist and composer Semir “Sammy” Hasić delivers an inspiring message of harmony, empathy, and hope to audiences across the globe.
Released on March 26, 2021, the orchestral album combines the expressive sound of the accordion with rich orchestral arrangements, creating an emotional and reflective musical journey. Inspired in part by historical events such as the Battle of Vukovar, the project reflects on the human impact of conflict while emphasizing resilience, compassion, and the universal desire for peace.

Traditionally known for joyful folk melodies, the accordion takes on a deeper narrative role in “No More War.” Through carefully crafted harmonies and orchestral collaboration, Hasić transforms the instrument into a powerful storytelling voice that captures both emotional depth and uplifting optimism.
“Words can be interpreted in many ways,” Hasić explains. “But music allows people to experience true feelings and connect beyond language or borders.”
The album’s orchestral elements add grandeur and emotional depth, blending classical composition with the distinctive character of the accordion to create a sound that is both powerful and deeply moving.
Beyond performance, Hasić has built an international reputation as a respected musician, educator, and author. Recognized as an Accordion World Champion, he has contributed to the development of music education through instructional publications and teaching initiatives designed to inspire new generations of artists.
Throughout his career, he has also participated in humanitarian events and concerts aimed at supporting communities and encouraging unity through culture.
“I have always believed that humility and music bring people together,” he says. “Music remains one of t
he most sincere ways to share joy and understanding.”
For young musicians around the world, Hasić offers simple yet meaningful advice: remain authentic and allow creativity to guide your path.
“Follow your feelings, listen to your heart, and try to make life more beautiful for others through your art,” he says.
His message resonates strongly in culturally diverse societies such as the United Arab Emirates, where creativity, cultural exchange, and artistic collaboration help bring people from many backgrounds together.
At its heart, “No More War” is more than a musical project — it is an artistic reflection on humanity’s shared experiences and a reminder that compassion and cooperation remain essential values in every society.
In multicultural hubs such as the United Arab Emirates, where people from around the world live and work together, artistic expressions like music play an important role in encouraging dialogue, creativity, and mutual respect.
“I believe the world continues to learn that peace, cooperation, and understanding create a better future for everyone,” Hasić reflects. “Respect, harmony, music, and love can help elevate the human spirit.”
As audiences continue to discover “No More War,” Hasić’s work stands as a powerful reminder that music can inspire reflection, unity, and hope — transcending borders while connecting people through shared emotions.
