The launch of Barakatna took place at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi. The event was also joined by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and many other leaders and guests.
This program was made with the help of many groups, such as the Department of Community Development and the Family Development Foundation. These groups, along with other government offices, will work together to help old people get better care at home with their families.
During the event, Sheikh Mohamed said that older people are very important to the country. They worked hard for many years to help build the UAE. He said they should always be treated with kindness and respect, and we should make sure they live comfortably and happily in their old age.
Sheikh Mohamed also said that older people are wise and have lots of experience. They can guide the younger people and teach them good values. He said that taking care of older family members is not just the job of one person, but something the whole country should do together.
Barakatna has different services to help families. One service gives help when a family can’t take care of an elderly person for a short time. Another service helps families make their homes safer and more comfortable for older people. There is also a service that allows families to take longer to pay back their housing loans, so they feel less stress.
One more service lets parents and caregivers work flexible hours. This means they can take care of their older parents and still do their jobs.
Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said that helping old people is not just a rule, but a strong belief in the UAE. It teaches young people to honor and thank the people who worked hard to build the country.
Many important people joined the launch, including Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, and other top leaders from Abu Dhabi.
Barakatna shows how much the UAE cares about its senior citizens. It helps families stay close and makes sure old people live with love, care, and respect.
