Hamdan bin Mohammed Visits Zayed Military City in Abu Dhabi

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, visited Zayed Military City in Abu Dhabi. During his visit, he praised the UAE Armed Forces for their vital role in protecting the country and helping it grow. He said the military is very important for the nation’s progress and safety.

Sheikh Hamdan thanked the leadership of the UAE, especially His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, for their support in making the country stronger and more successful.
While at Zayed Military City, Sheikh Hamdan saw the latest defense equipment and technology. He was shown how the military is trained to use these new systems. He emphasized the importance of training to make sure the military is always ready to protect the country.

Sheikh Hamdan also honored three senior military leaders for their hard work. The honored leaders were: His Excellency Major General Staff Pilot Sheikh Saeed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Commander of the Naval Forces; His Excellency Matar Salem Al Dhaheri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence; and Major General Abdullah Faraj Masoud Al Mehairbi, Deputy Commander of the UAE Naval Forces. They were recognized for their dedication and service to the country.

At the end of the visit, Sheikh Hamdan took photos with the honored leaders and with the military officers. The members of the Armed Forces were grateful for his visit and said his support would motivate them to keep working hard and stay ready to defend the UAE.

Sheikh Hamdan was joined by other important officials, including His Excellency Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Lieutenant General Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Yousef Mayouf Al Halami, Commander of the Land Forces, and Major General Khalifa Rashid Al Hamli, Director of the Office of the Minister of Defence.
