UAE Govt 2025 New Ministry, AI Joins Decision Making

Abu Dhabi – The leadership of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced important changes to the federal government to prepare for the future and improve the country’s progress. These changes were made after discussions and approval by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The announcement was made by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai.

Key Government Changes:

• New Ministry of Foreign Trade Created
• A new ministry called the Ministry of Foreign Trade has been established to focus on international trade.
• Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi has been appointed as the Minister of Foreign Trade.

Economy Ministry Gets New Role and Name

• The existing Ministry of Economy has been renamed as the Ministry of Economy and Tourism.
• It will now handle both the country’s economic matters and tourism affairs.
• Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri will continue to lead this newly named ministry.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) to Become a Government Advisor
Starting in January 2026, the UAE will officially include the National Artificial Intelligence System as a member in:

• The Council of Ministers
• The Ministerial Development Council
• And all federal boards and government companies

This AI system will help:

• Give expert advice during meetings
• Analyze decisions in real-time
• Offer technical support
• Improve how government policies are made and implemented
