H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, received Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, during an official meeting held in Abu Dhabi. The meeting highlighted the deep and historic relationship between the two brotherly nations and reflected the strong commitment of both sides to continue building on their long-standing cooperation.

Sheikh Abdullah warmly welcomed Dr. Alzayani and expressed the UAE’s appreciation for the strong and trusted relations it shares with Bahrain. He emphasised that the visit of the Bahraini Foreign Minister supports ongoing coordination between the two countries and opens new opportunities for collaboration in many sectors. The meeting demonstrated the spirit of unity and mutual respect that has always guided the UAE-Bahrain relationship.

During the discussions, both leaders reviewed the strong fraternal ties that connect the UAE and Bahrain. They noted that the relationship between the two countries is built on shared values, cultural closeness, and a common vision for progress and stability. Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the importance of further strengthening these bonds to continue serving the interests of both nations and their people.

Dr. Alzayani also expressed Bahrain’s appreciation for the UAE’s friendly approach and its continuous support for Bahrain’s development and stability. He stressed that Bahrain considers the UAE not only a close neighbour, but also a trusted partner in regional cooperation and peace.

The meeting focused strongly on ways to enhance cooperation across various fields. Sheikh Abdullah and Dr. Alzayani discussed opportunities to expand joint work in areas such as economy, trade, investment, development projects, renewable energy, culture, tourism, education, and security coordination.

Both sides agreed that the global and regional landscape is changing quickly, and this makes cooperation even more important. Working together would allow the two nations to address shared challenges, support stability, and benefit from economic growth opportunities across the region. They also discussed regional developments and the importance of supporting unity and peace in the Gulf and the wider Middle East.

Sheikh Abdullah affirmed that the UAE attaches great importance to its relationship with Bahrain, describing it as a relationship rooted in brotherhood, mutual trust, and shared destiny.
