US President Donald Trump posted a viral AI-generated video showing himself playing football with Cristiano Ronaldo inside the White House. The video was shared on Trump’s official Instagram account on Thursday, November 20, a few days after he had dined with the football star.
In the video, Trump can be seen performing football tricks, including keep-ups, headers, and dribbles, while Ronaldo joins him in the Oval Office. Trump captioned the video, calling Ronaldo a “great guy” and praising him for being “really smart and cool.” The clip shows Trump spinning on his heels to intercept the ball before kicking it toward the viewer, adding a playful touch to the footage.
The video quickly went viral, gaining nearly 34 million views and thousands of comments. Social media users reacted with humor, noting the unusual sight of the US president playing football in the White House. Some commenters joked about the video’s realism, while others compared it to a meme, highlighting the entertainment value of the AI-generated clip.
Cristiano Ronaldo had also posted about his visit to the White House earlier. Alongside his partner Georgina Rodriguez, he shared pictures and thanked President Trump and the First Lady for their warm welcome. Ronaldo expressed his appreciation, stating that everyone has something meaningful to contribute and that he was ready to inspire new generations.
The two met during a state dinner hosted in honor of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. During the event, Trump mentioned that his youngest son, Barron, is a big fan of Ronaldo and enjoyed meeting him. Ronaldo was seated near the front of the East Room, close to where Trump and the Crown Prince gave remarks to officials from both nations.
The AI-generated football video is part of a growing trend where public figures use artificial intelligence to create entertaining and imaginative content. Trump’s post has sparked widespread attention online, combining politics, sports, and cutting-edge technology in a single viral moment.
