Actor Sunny Deol recently got angry at photographers who were standing outside his house in Mumbai. They were trying to take pictures and videos during a very difficult time for his family. His father, famous actor Dharmendra, has been unwell and is getting treatment at home.
On Wednesday, Sunny’s team shared a message saying that Dharmendra has come back home from the hospital and his treatment will continue there. They also asked everyone to respect the family’s privacy and not bother them.
But the next day, many photographers were still waiting outside the Deol family’s house. When Sunny saw them, he came out and scolded them for behaving badly. He folded his hands and told them to have some shame.
In a video shared on social media, Sunny is seen saying,“You people should be ashamed. You also have parents and children. Still, you are taking videos like fools. Don’t you feel ashamed?”
Sunny was upset because photographers had been following his family for several days — from the hospital to their home — and even recording small things like food deliveries to their house.
Earlier this week, some false news spread online that Dharmendra had passed away, but his family quickly said that this was not true. His wife Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol told everyone that Dharmendra was alive and slowly recovering.
Later, Sunny released another message thanking fans for their love and prayers. He said:“My father Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will recover at home. We request everyone not to spread rumours and to respect our privacy. Thank you for all your prayers and good wishes.”
This whole incident has started a big discussion about how celebrities also need privacy when they or their families are sick. Many people feel that the paparazzi should act more respectfully during such times.
