Strata Manufacturing PJSC, which is owned by Mubadala Investment Company, has finished an important step in making parts for a special airplane called the Pilatus PC-12. This airplane is known as the most advanced single-engine turboprop aircraft, meaning it has one powerful engine and is very modern. Strata has successfully made and checked the first batch of a new part called the Trailing Edge package for this airplane. The Trailing Edge is a very important part of the airplane’s wing. It helps the airplane stay in the air by creating lift and also helps control the air resistance or drag during flight.

Strata started working on this new part after Pilatus, the company in Switzerland that makes the PC-12, gave its approval in 2024. By the end of the first three months of 2025, Strata had delivered 59 complete sets of these Trailing Edge parts. In total, these sets included 590 individual pieces.

Strata has been working with Pilatus since 2018. Since then, Strata has sent almost 1,000 full sets of different airplane parts from their factory in Al Ain City, Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, to Pilatus in Switzerland. These parts include many packages used for two airplane models, the PC-24 Super Versatile Jet and the PC-12.

Sara Al Memari, who is the Acting CEO of Strata, said she feels very proud of the company’s work with Pilatus. She explained that delivering and getting approval for the first Trailing Edge package for the PC-12 is a big achievement. It shows how skilled Strata is at making advanced airplane parts and how serious they are about meeting the high quality needed in the aerospace industry. She said this success is a sign of trust, creativity, and hard work. It encourages the company to keep growing and to build strong partnerships around the world.

Roman Emmenegger, the Vice President of Manufacturing at Pilatus, also shared his thoughts. He said they are very happy to get the first set of the new Trailing Edge package for the PC-12. This part passed all the tests and inspections it needed. He added that Pilatus is eager to keep working with Strata because of Strata’s advanced skills and focus on new ideas in airplane manufacturing. Pilatus wants to use Strata’s expertise to make their airplanes even better, especially the PC-24 and PC-12 models.

Strata’s success in making these important airplane parts comes from using modern technology. For example, they use a special method called autoclave processing, and they work with strong but lightweight materials like carbon fiber. These materials and techniques help make airplanes perform better and use less fuel.

Since Strata began working with Pilatus in 2018, they have been trusted to make many important parts for the airplanes. These include flap track fairings, belly fairings, bullet fairings, tail cones, pylon fairings, internal floor panels, and cockpit interior panels for the PC-24 jet. For the PC-12 model, they have made interior parts and now the new Trailing Edge components.

This achievement shows how Strata is growing as a key partner in making world-class airplane parts and helping the aerospace industry reach new heights.
