UAE Crown Prince Meets Kyoto Governor to Strengthen Ties

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, held an important meeting with His Excellency Takatoshi Nishiwaki, Governor of Kyoto Prefecture, during his visit to Japan. The meeting was held at the UAE Pavilion during the UAE Day celebrations at Expo 2025 Osaka, one of the world’s biggest global events.

The discussion focused on finding new ways to strengthen cooperation between Abu Dhabi and Kyoto. The leaders explored opportunities in areas such as innovation, sustainable solutions, and infrastructure. They also talked about sharing knowledge, experiences, and expertise that can help both regions grow and support sustainable development goals.

Accompanying the Crown Prince were several senior officials from Abu Dhabi, highlighting the importance of the visit. Among them were:

  • His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court.

  • His Excellency Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport.

  • His Excellency Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Office of the Crown Prince.

  • Her Excellency Maryam Eid AlMheiri, Chairperson of the Abu Dhabi Media Office and Advisor of Strategic Relations at the Crown Prince Court.

  • His Excellency Shihab Ahmed Al Faheem, UAE Ambassador to Japan and Commissioner General of the UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka.

The meeting underlines the UAE’s commitment to building strong international partnerships, especially with Japan. By focusing on innovation and sustainable solutions, both regions aim to create long-term benefits for their people, industries, and the environment.

This visit and meeting are expected to open doors for joint projects, knowledge exchange, and closer ties between the UAE and Japan in the coming years.
