Sharjah witnessed a grand celebration on Thursday as the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) honored its 2025 graduating cohort. Over 900 students received diplomas and applied bachelor's degrees in a ceremony held at the University City Hall, marking a milestone in their academic journeys.
The morning ceremony saw Sheikh Dr Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Head of the Ruler’s Office, award certificates to 464 graduates from the Applied Media, Engineering, and Business Administration programs. Sheikh Dr Salem warmly congratulated each student, posed for commemorative photos, and graciously accepted a gift from HCT in recognition of his presence.

Simultaneously, Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Department of Statistics and Community Development, awarded certificates to 473 graduates from Health Sciences, Computer Science, Information Science, and Education. The students celebrated their achievements with joy as Sheikh Mohammed took part in photo sessions and received a commemorative gift from the institution.
Dr Faisal Al Ayyan, President and CEO of HCT, addressed the graduates, highlighting the pivotal role of education in shaping Sharjah’s human capital. He praised the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his unwavering commitment to educational excellence and community development.
The event concluded on a unifying note, with graduates reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, affirming their loyalty to the United Arab Emirates and its leadership. They pledged to uphold national security, follow the Constitution and laws, and perform their duties with honesty and integrity.
The 2025 graduation ceremony not only celebrated academic accomplishments but also reflected Sharjah’s ongoing commitment to nurturing skilled professionals across diverse fields. Students, families, and dignitaries alike shared a moment of pride and optimism for the future.
