North Macedonia made a remarkable entrance at the Abu Dhabi Global Food Week at the ADNEC Centre, featuring a variety of classic Balkan cuisine designed to deliver a new culinary experience for UAE residents. This debut emphasizes the nation’s rich food heritage and aims to engage local distributors and culinary lovers in search of authentic tastes.
At the North Macedonia pavilion, attendees encountered a lively showcase of cheeses, fruits, vegetables, and preserves that embody the country’s enduring tradition of quality food production. Highlighting their offerings, Best Food – Gjorgiev Dairy presented unique cow and sheep milk cheeses, celebrated for their distinctive flavors, precisely attributed to the nation’s plentiful sunshine and fertile soils.
Altera Food, another contributor from North Macedonia, displayed a selection of fresh vegetables and fruits, along with pickled items, appetizers, and low-sugar jams. These products hail from regions blessed with nearly 300 days of sunshine each year, enhancing their exceptional taste and quality.
This initiative illustrates North Macedonia’s aim to penetrate the UAE market with its Balkan culinary delights, offering authentic products that embody tradition and excellence. Furthermore, it paves the way for potential collaborations with local distributors and importers, bringing the essence of North Macedonia closer to the Gulf.
