The NBA weekend featured exciting games with several teams securing important victories. The Atlanta Hawks held off the Charlotte Hornets 113-110 thanks to Nickeil Alexander-Walker’s 23 points and crucial defensive play in the final seconds. Alexander-Walker’s layup with 1:42 left gave Atlanta a 111-110 lead, and his steal from rookie Kon Knueppel in the closing seconds sealed the win. Jalen Johnson led the Hawks with 28 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds, while Dyson Daniels added 22 points and nine rebounds. Onyeka Okongwu contributed 20 points and seven rebounds. For the Hornets, Knueppel scored 28 points, Collin Sexton had 22, and Miles Bridges added 21.
In Miami, the Heat defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 127-117. Norman Powell led the team with 32 points, while Kel’el Ware recorded 20 points and 16 rebounds. Bam Adebayo added 18 points and 13 rebounds, and Davion Mitchell chipped in with eight points, 12 assists, and eight rebounds. Jaime Jaquez Jr. contributed 22 points off the bench. For the 76ers, Tyrese Maxey scored 27 points, Trendon Watford had 19 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists, and Andre Drummond grabbed 23 rebounds alongside 14 points. Joel Embiid and Paul George were sidelined or limited due to injuries.
The Toronto Raptors won 119-109 over the Brooklyn Nets for their seventh straight victory. Immanuel Quickley scored 13 points, including two key 3-pointers in the last 3:17 of the game. Scottie Barnes led the Raptors with 17 points, while RJ Barrett tallied 16 before leaving with a knee injury. For the Nets, Tyrese Martin scored 26 points, Michael Porter Jr. had 25, and Noah Clowney added 22 points.
In Cleveland, Donovan Mitchell scored 37 points with eight rebounds and six assists as the Cavaliers beat the Los Angeles Clippers 120-105. Evan Mobley added 18 points, De’Andre Hunter 17, and Darius Garland contributed eight points and eight assists. Ivica Zubac led the Clippers with 33 points and 18 rebounds, while Kawhi Leonard scored 20 and James Harden added 19 points but missed all his three-point attempts. The loss dropped L.A. to 2-10 in November.
The Boston Celtics defeated the Orlando Magic 138-129 to avoid back-to-back home losses. Jaylen Brown scored 35 points, with 23 points coming off the bench from Anfernee Simons and 19 from Payton Pritchard. Jett Howard led the Magic with 30 points off the bench, while Franz Wagner added 15 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.
The Oklahoma City Thunder extended their winning streak to nine games with a 122-95 win over the Portland Trail Blazers. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 37 points, seven assists, and five rebounds. Ajay Mitchell added 20 points off the bench, and Isaiah Hartenstein grabbed 15 rebounds. Jerami Grant led Portland with 21 points.
The Phoenix Suns beat the San Antonio Spurs 111-102, with Dillon Brooks scoring 25 points and Devin Booker adding 24. Jordan Goodwin recorded his first double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Mark Williams added 14 points and 11 rebounds. For the Spurs, De’Aaron Fox had 26 points, Devin Vassell scored 17, and Julian Champagnie recorded 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Finally, the Los Angeles Lakers narrowly defeated the Utah Jazz 108-106. Luka Doncic scored 33 points with 11 rebounds and eight assists. Austin Reaves added 22 points and 10 rebounds, while LeBron James contributed 17 points and eight assists in his second game back from a sciatica injury. Keyonte George led Utah with 27 points, and Lauri Markkanen scored 20 points.
This weekend’s games highlighted incredible performances, close finishes, and standout players across multiple teams, keeping fans excited as the NBA season progresses.
