Abu Dhabi: His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, gave the Prince of Poets title to Emirati poet Abdulrahman Al-Humairi for the 11th season. This famous poetry competition is made by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority and helps to support and grow Arabic poetry.

His Excellency Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, said this season of Prince of Poets has made Abu Dhabi even more famous for poetry and culture. He shared that the programme helps keep Arab history and poetry alive and gives poets a great chance to show their talent.
Al Mazrouei also said this work follows the dream of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, who wants to protect the Arab identity and keep Arabic poetry strong. He explained that poetry has always been an important part of Arab life, telling stories of the past and present.
He thanked His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, for his support. He said that this programme is proof that Abu Dhabi is working hard to make Arabic poetry popular, help more people enjoy it, and keep it safe for the future.
His Excellency Abdullah Mubarak Al Muhairi, Acting Director General of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, congratulated the winners of the 11th season. He said the authority is proud of all poets who took part in the competition.
Al Muhairi said the final night was a special moment in this exciting journey, where six poets reached the last stage after many rounds of competition. He said this programme does not just honor poets but also helps Arabic poetry shine worldwide.
The Prince of Poets competition is one of the biggest poetry events in the Arab world. It brings together poets, experts, and poetry lovers. This event shows that Abu Dhabi is a leader in protecting culture and poetry.
