In line with its mission to enrich cultural and intellectual pursuits, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library has organized an extensive program of cultural, educational, and artistic events this August. The lineup includes workshops, lectures, and seminars catering to visitors of all ages and interests.
The activities commence with an insightful session led by Dr. Baraa Dhahir on "The Impact of Childhood Trauma on Emotional Development in Children." This session aims to shed light on crucial psychological issues and their direct effects on children's development. Dr. Dhahir will delve into the profound impact of early trauma on emotional growth and provide evidence-based strategies for addressing trauma.
Continuing its support for emerging writers, the library will host a reading evening dedicated to first-time published authors. This event aligns with the library's commitment to fostering new literary talent, offering writers a platform to share their journeys and celebrate their accomplishments.
In honor of World Calligraphy Day, the library presents a discussion panel featuring renowned calligrapher Matar bin Lahej on "Arabic Calligraphy: Between Creativity and Innovation." Moderated by Badr Alawadhi, the session will explore the significance of calligraphy as a cultural communication tool and discuss bin Lahej’s experiences with the Museum of the Future.

Supporting entrepreneurship, the library will host Emirati entrepreneur Ibtihal Alnaji in a panel discussion focused on the essentials of launching technology projects and overcoming challenges faced by new entrepreneurs.
To celebrate World Hausa Language Day, the library has organized a discussion session on "Hausa Language: History, Literature, and Linguistic Relations." Poet Ali Loun and author Abdullah Sabo will discuss the rich history and cultural importance of the Hausa language and its alphabet. The session will also feature traditional musical performances from Hausa heritage.
In celebration of Emirati Women's Day, the library will honor the achievements and contributions of Emirati women with a performance of traditional Emirati music by local musical talents.
The month’s activities will conclude with an engaging workshop titled "Mastering Mobile Photography," led by Mansour Al Mansouri. Participants will learn expert techniques for capturing stunning photos using their mobile phones.
Children are also a key focus of the library’s August program, with a summer camp scheduled from August 5-15 as part of the "Cultural Summer" initiative. Designed for children aged 7 to 12, the camp will offer a variety of sessions and workshops in both Arabic and English, aiming to foster a love for reading and knowledge in young minds.
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library’s diverse August program promises to provide enriching experiences for all, fostering a deeper appreciation for culture, knowledge, and creativity among its visitors.
