A yellow alert was shared, indicating potential rainfall in places like Khor Fakkan and Fujairah. The Met Office also highlighted that cloudy skies would likely continue throughout the weekend, creating ideal weather for cooler outdoor conditions.
Temperatures are expected to drop in regions experiencing rainfall and cloud formation, while moderate winds may blow across the country. These winds could reach speeds of up to 40 km/h at times, possibly carrying dust from northern areas.
The NCM advised that humidity levels are set to rise by night and early Sunday morning, especially in coastal and internal areas. Fog or mist may form over some western regions, so motorists are urged to drive with caution.
Looking ahead, the weather forecast for Sunday suggests mostly fair to partly cloudy skies, with periods of heavier cloud cover over coastal areas, islands, and parts of the northern regions. Temperatures are expected to decrease even further.
Winds will be light to moderate, with occasional stronger gusts, blowing at speeds of 15 to 25 km/h and sometimes reaching up to 40 km/h. These winds may cause dust to spread, reducing visibility in some areas.
The NCM noted that the Arabian Gulf may experience rough waves, while the Oman Sea will likely be moderate to rough at times. Residents are encouraged to stay updated on the weather forecast and take necessary precautions when near the sea or during misty conditions.
This forecast highlights the seasonal shift toward cooler and cloudier weather, making it essential for residents to stay weather-aware for a safer and more enjoyable weekend.
