The session talked about coexistence from different views, including philosophy, religion, and society. The speakers explained how living together in peace helps create stable and strong communities. They said that tolerance and respect bring people closer, allowing them to understand each other better and live in harmony.
Dr. Al Wuqayan, who is also the Vice President of the Saudi Philosophy Association, spoke about the importance of tolerance. He said that forgiveness and kindness are key values in both Islamic teachings and world traditions, which help people live together in peace.
He shared four main ideas about tolerance: giving space for others to feel included, accepting that people are different, seeing diversity as something good, and aiming for peaceful living as the final goal.
Other experts also shared their thoughts. Dr. Mashhad Al Allaf, a professor at the University of Sharjah, talked about how both religion and philosophy teach tolerance. He said that Islam values human dignity and promotes kindness and fairness among people.
Dr. Fatmah Al Dahmani, Head of the Tolerance and Coexistence Department at Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities, spoke about the role of education in spreading tolerance. She said that schools and universities have the duty to teach students to be open-minded and respectful. She also said that young people can spread messages of peace through social media, making them strong voices for coexistence.
