Apple is working on a new iPhone model, the iPhone 17 Air, which could be the thinnest iPhone ever made. The phone will be only 5.5mm thick, making it thinner than the iPhone 6, which is 6.9mm thick. To make it this thin, Apple might reduce the camera to just one sensor. It is expected to have a 48MP main camera and a 24MP front camera. The iPhone 17 Air will also have a 6.6-inch display with ProMotion technology, which lets the screen refresh at up to 120Hz.
There were talks that Apple might remove the charging port completely to make the phone fully wireless. But according to reports, Apple decided not to remove the port. Instead, they redesigned the phone’s internal parts, including the display and chip, to save power and make the phone more efficient. Apple has also made some software changes to help the phone use less battery.

The iPhone 17 Air will be powered by a new chip called the A19 chip, which will be in all iPhone 17 models. The phone will also have a new modem chip called the C1, which was first used in the iPhone 16e. This new phone will replace the iPhone 16 Plus in Apple’s lineup. The price is expected to be around $900, similar to the iPhone 16 Plus, which costs $899 in the US.
Even though the iPhone 17 Air won’t be fully wireless, it will still have many new features. It will be thinner, faster, and more efficient than ever before.
