IndiGo Flight Makes Emergency Landing After Passenger Dies

An IndiGo flight traveling from Patna to Delhi made an emergency landing in Lucknow on Saturday after an elderly passenger passed away during the flight.

The passenger, 63-year-old Satish Chandra Burman from Nalbari, Assam, was flying with his wife Kanchan and his cousin-in-law Keshav Kumar on IndiGo flight 6E 2163. While they were on their way from Patna to Delhi, Satish's health suddenly worsened. Unfortunately, it’s not clear what caused his death.

As soon as the flight attendants realized that Satish was in serious trouble, they immediately informed the pilot. The pilot then contacted the Lucknow airport authorities and asked for permission to make an emergency landing.

With approval from the authorities, the flight landed safely at Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport in Lucknow. However, Satish could not be saved, and he passed away during the journey.

The airline has not yet shared more details about the exact cause of death.
