An Indian engineer, Issac Paul Olakkengil, sadly passed away while learning scuba diving in Dubai during the Eid holidays. He was 29 years old. Issac was in Dubai with his wife, Reshma, and his younger brother, Ivin, when the accident happened on Friday, June 6, at Jumeirah Beach.
Issac was from Kerala, a state in southern India. The family was enjoying their Eid break together. During the scuba diving training, Issac had trouble breathing underwater and suffered a heart attack. His uncle, David Pyarilos, who is helping the family with legal matters, said the three were all taking the diving course at the same time.
According to David, Issac had to move away from the group because he could not breathe well. This caused panic among the others underwater. Reshma was rescued and taken to the shore first, followed by Issac and Ivin.

Issac was rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately, doctors could not save him. His brother Ivin also collapsed when he reached the hospital. He is now being watched closely by doctors and is said to be out of danger.
All three — Issac, Reshma, and Ivin — are engineers. Issac and Reshma live in Dubai, while Ivin lives in Abu Dhabi. David shared that Ivin’s friends are worried about how to tell him the sad news because the brothers were very close.
Ivin learned about Issac’s death on Saturday. Meanwhile, the police are investigating what happened during the scuba diving session. They have taken the diving equipment for inspection.
Once all legal procedures are complete, Issac’s body will be sent back to India. The family is working with authorities to handle the necessary paperwork.
