Day 4 of the 1st Test between India and England at Headingley was very exciting. India gave England a tough target of 371 runs to win. This was possible because KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant scored amazing centuries. England’s opening batsmen, Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley, finished the day without losing any wickets, scoring 21 runs. England still needs 350 more runs on the last day.

India’s Batting in Detail

• Morning: India started the day at 90 runs for 2 wickets, leading by 96 runs. But soon, their captain Shubman Gill got out for just 8 runs. By lunch, India was 153 for 3.

• Afternoon: KL Rahul played patiently and scored an unbeaten 137 runs. Rishabh Pant played more aggressively and scored 118 runs. Together, they added 195 runs for the fourth wicket. India reached 287 for 4.
