The Dubai AI Campus, an initiative by the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), is set to launch the inaugural Dubai AI and Web3 Festival from September 11-12, 2024, at Madinat Jumeirah. The festival is expected to attract 6,000 participants from 100 countries, spotlighting Dubai’s ambition to lead globally in digital economy and AI applications.

This significant event aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. His vision aims to position Dubai as a central hub for digital economy and advanced technology, fostering innovation and comprehensive development across various sectors. The festival underscores Dubai’s commitment to leveraging Web3 technologies and AI to drive economic growth and meet its future goals.
The festival will feature a diverse agenda with over 6,000 attendees, including 500 investors and 100 exhibitors. Key highlights will include discussions on the economic impact of AI, future trends in generative AI, and its benefits across public and private sectors. Notable participants include over 20 unicorn companies such as Builder.ai, Cohesity, Cerebras Systems, Innovaccer, and SambaNova Systems. The event will also see the participation of 20 ministries and government agencies, along with 20 major global businesses and venture capital firms.
The festival will offer the Future Tech Talks series, focusing on empowering digital economies and driving innovation. Keynote sessions will explore AI’s role in the global economy and upcoming funding trends. The FutureTech World Cup, a competition for AI startups, will showcase pioneering AI solutions, offering the winner mentorship, global exposure, and a significant boost through strategic partnerships.
Essa Kazim, Governor of DIFC, emphasized Dubai’s commitment to innovation, stating that the festival will highlight AI’s disruptive potential and showcase DIFC and the Dubai AI Campus as key drivers of global AI adoption. Arif Amiri, CEO of DIFC Authority, noted that the festival and the Dubai AI Campus are part of DIFC’s broader strategy to position Dubai at the forefront of AI innovation.
The event follows recent initiatives, including the Dubai AI Campus and the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence (DUB.AI), which aim to accelerate AI adoption across essential sectors. The festival reflects Dubai’s growing influence as a hub for next-generation technology and innovation.
