Shares of Honasa Consumer climbed sharply on Thursday, riding on the company’s return to profitability in the July-September quarter. The stock opened with a 6.36% gain and touched an intraday high of Rs 308.20, before settling around Rs 295 on the NSE by mid-morning.
The company, known for FMCG brands like Mamaearth and The Derma Co, reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 39.22 crore, a strong turnaround from a Rs 18.57 crore loss in the same quarter last year.
Revenue from operations increased 16.5% to Rs 538.06 crore, compared to Rs 461.82 crore in Q2 of the previous year. Including other income, total revenue stood at Rs 558.20 crore, marking a 15.8% growth, while total expenses slightly declined to Rs 505.45 crore.
The company’s focus categories contributed over 75% of total revenue, highlighting the effectiveness of its category-first approach. Volume growth remained robust, with UVG rising 16.7%, reflecting steady consumer demand and strong core business performance.
Market reactions were positive but mixed. Jefferies maintained a Buy rating with a target of Rs 450, citing volume-led growth and margin improvement. Meanwhile, HSBC kept a Reduce rating at Rs 264, noting moderate revenue growth but higher margins leading to slight profit upgrades.
This performance signals a strong comeback for Honasa Consumer, demonstrating resilience in the FMCG sector and sustained consumer interest in wellness and personal care products.
