The situation between Israel, Hamas, and Hezbollah has intensified, with Hezbollah launching over 60 rockets at Israeli military positions in retaliation for Israeli air strikes on Lebanon's east. This escalation follows Hamas' attack on southern Israel on October 7, which ignited the ongoing conflict in Gaza, now in its eighth month.
Hezbollah targeted several Israeli military positions in the Golan Heights, claiming retaliation for Israeli attacks on the Bekaa region in eastern Lebanon. Lebanese state media reported Israeli air raids on the Baalbek area, a Hezbollah stronghold, causing injuries and fires.
In response, Israel confirmed conducting airstrikes in Lebanon against a Hezbollah target linked to the group's precision missile project. This exchange of fire comes after Hezbollah launched drones at a military base near Tiberias, Israel, marking one of its deepest incursions into the country.

Tensions escalated further when Israel killed one of Hezbollah's field commanders in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah identified the slain member as Hussein Makki, a field commander.
The ongoing conflict has resulted in casualties on both sides, with at least 413 people killed in Lebanon, mostly militants, and dozens of civilians. Israel reported casualties as well, with 14 soldiers and 10 civilians killed.
The violence has displaced tens of thousands of people on both sides of the border, highlighting the gravity of the situation and the urgent need for de-escalation efforts.
