The use of missiles didn’t start in modern times. A long time ago, people fought with fire arrows. These arrows were dipped in oil, set on fire, and then shot at enemies. It was seen as a clever weapon back then, and it made the enemy afraid.

Over the years, weapons became stronger. During the Second World War, Germany made the V-2 rocket. This rocket could travel a long distance and hit without warning. It flew high in the sky and dropped on its target. This changed how wars were fought.

Later, during the Cold War, countries started building nuclear missiles. The United States and the Soviet Union made thousands of these powerful weapons. These missiles could travel across the planet in just minutes and destroy entire cities. People lived in fear every day, thinking that one mistake could bring disaster.

Now, missile technology has reached a new level. Many countries have missiles that can fly at very high speeds, change direction in the air, and even avoid being stopped. Some of these weapons are launched from submarines that stay hidden deep underwater.

Several nations today have their own missile systems. The US, Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran are some of them. These weapons are no longer just used in big wars. They are now part of smaller conflicts, like the ones in Ukraine and Gaza. Some missiles today are small enough to be carried by one person. Others are large and powerful enough to travel thousands of kilometers. This shows how much missile design has changed over time. But with more power comes more risk. A single mistake could start a war that affects the whole world. The stronger a missile is, the more damage it can cause.

Fire arrows were once used to scare enemies and win small fights. Now, missiles have the power to destroy entire countries or end life as we know it.That is why many world leaders and peace organizations are asking nations to speak with each other. They want to limit the use of missiles and stop wars before they begin. The main goal should be to save lives, not destroy them.
