Dubai’s Red Line turned into a moving canvas of national pride as Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, revealed a powerful visual tribute honouring the UAE’s Founding Fathers. The display stretches from Centrepoint station to Expo 2020 station, catching the eyes of thousands of daily commuters and visitors.
The creative installation features images of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, accompanied by verses from ‘The People and the Leader’ — a poem by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Presented under the umbrella of Dubai’s ‘National Month’ celebrations, the project falls within the second edition of the #ZayedAndRashid campaign.
Created in collaboration with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the visuals blend seamlessly with one of the city’s most iconic symbols of modern mobility. The Red Line carriages now carry a reminder of the leadership values that shaped the nation’s development, aligning with RTA’s efforts to reinforce national identity across the public transport network.
The initiative reflects the spirit of unity and partnership that defined the early days of the Union. For many commuters, the display offers a moment of reflection amid the daily rush, connecting Dubai’s fast-moving present with its historic foundations.
The metro installation forms part of a wider lineup of National Month activations across Dubai, including the popular Flag Garden at Umm Suqeim Beach, large-scale artwork on DIFC’s Gate Building and several cultural and community events taking place across the city until 2 December.
With its combination of creativity, heritage and public engagement, the tribute along the Dubai Metro adds a meaningful layer to the city’s celebrations, turning everyday journeys into a reminder of the UAE’s enduring national story.
