Shefali Shah Thanks Fans as Delhi Crime 3 Wins Hearts on Netflix

Delhi Crime Season 3, one of the most-awaited shows of the year, saw actor Shefali Shah return as the no-nonsense DCP Vartika Chaturvedi, this time facing off against Huma Qureshi’s Badi Didi. The series received positive reviews upon release, with Shah sharing a heartfelt note thanking fans for their support.

Shefali Shah plays the lead in the acclaimed show, available to stream on Netflix.

In an Instagram post, Shah wrote, “I was terrified is the understatement of the century before Delhi Crime 3 dropped. I played a different side of Vartika this time. She felt the pain and anger with equal intensity but channeled it into finding the girls. There was no bravado this season, just perseverance and a relentless pursuit to protect, safeguard, and get justice.”

She added, “I didn't know if this side of Vartika, without her bravado, would land. But after reading the reviews, I was overjoyed and weeping with relief. The outpouring of your love showed that you didn’t just watch her go through every moment—you lived it with her and me.”

Shefali continued, “You all made me realise two things. 1. We often don't give enough credit to the audience’s intelligence and sensitivity. 2. I'm lucky to be loved so much. Truly, I am overwhelmed beyond words. THANK YOU. I am blessed to have your love and blessings.”

Critics praised Shah’s performance, noting, “Shefali Shah is in top form yet again. Few can become a character like she does, suspending disbelief so easily and so smoothly. While the show falters a bit in her characterisation, she still manages to pull off vulnerability splendidly.”

Produced by Golden Karavan and SK Global Entertainment, Delhi Crime 3 is directed by Tanuj Chopra and also stars Sayani Gupta, Mita Vashisht, Anshumaan Pushkar, and Kelly Dorji. It premiered on Netflix on November 13.
