A senior gastroenterologist from Fortis Vasant Kunj, Dr. Shubham Vatsya, has shared the story of how a simple change in his diet helped him lose 38 kilograms in three years. In a video shared on Instagram, he explained that eating three eggs every day became an important part of his weight loss and health improvement journey. He said that this routine gave him a steady supply of high-quality protein, which helped with muscle repair, fat metabolism and overall body strength.
Dr. Vatsya explained that three eggs contain around 18 grams of complete protein, which has all the essential amino acids needed by the body. He said that eggs are a simple and affordable food that many people can include in their diets. He also told viewers that eating eggs every day can make a real difference in health, adding that he is a real-life example of the positive changes that can happen.
The doctor shared that egg yolk is rich in choline, an essential nutrient that helps the liver break down fat and supports detoxification. Because of this, he described eggs as a “liver-supportive food.” He said that many people are not aware of this benefit, but choline plays a major role in keeping the liver healthy, especially when paired with a balanced diet.
Dr. Vatsya also highlighted how regular consumption of eggs can support heart health. According to him, eating eggs can increase the level of “good” cholesterol, or HDL, while changing “bad” cholesterol, LDL, into a safer and larger form. This means that the heart may be at lower risk when eggs are eaten in the context of a healthy and balanced diet. He said that this shift in cholesterol type can support better cardiovascular health over time.
Eggs also contain antioxidants like lutein and zeaxanthin, which are found mainly in the yolk. Dr. Vatsya shared that these antioxidants help protect the eyes from oxidative stress and can also slow down signs of ageing. He noted that many people do not realize the eye health benefits of eggs, but consuming them daily can support long-term vision protection.
In his video and caption, the doctor encouraged people to try eating three eggs every day for 30 days and observe how their bodies feel. He said that the routine offers simple but powerful benefits, including improved metabolism, better muscle recovery, stronger liver function, healthier cholesterol balance and improved eye protection. He also pointed out that these benefits become more visible when the rest of the diet is well-planned and nutritious.
Dr. Vatsya’s message adds to the growing discussion about the role of simple, whole foods in daily health and weight management. While many people explore complicated diet plans and expensive supplements, he shared that eggs can be an affordable and convenient part of a healthy lifestyle. His story highlights that long-term results often come from small and consistent actions.
