A new controversy has started in the beauty pageant world after Miss Universe 2025 contestants walked out of an event in Thailand. The walkout happened after Miss Mexico, Fatima Bosch, refused to take part in a group photoshoot meant to promote Thailand. Nawat Itsaragrisil, who is the President of Miss Grand International and also works with Miss Universe, spoke harshly to her. This moment was recorded and shared widely online, bringing strong reactions from people around the world.

At the same time, Indian model Rachel Gupta is now back in the news. Rachel was the first Indian to win the Miss Grand International title in October 2024. However, she returned her crown in May 2025. She said that the organisation treated her badly during her time as the winner. She spoke about body-shaming, not being allowed proper food, and being kept in poor living conditions. The organisation, on the other hand, said that Rachel was removed because she did not complete her duties.

Now, after the new controversy involving Miss Mexico and Nawat, Rachel has shared a new post on Instagram. In the post, she wrote, “Karma is a queen.” Many people see this as a hint to the situation with Nawat, suggesting that the truth is coming out now. The post received many comments, including support from people in Mexico. One comment read, “We always believed you.” Another wrote, “Silence is golden, and your peace is priceless.”

Rachel also shared another post a day earlier from the beach with the caption, “Free.” Supporters again praised her and said that the world is now understanding what she faced.

Earlier this year, Rachel posted a long video on YouTube titled, “The Truth about Miss Grand International.” In the video, she explained her experiences during her reign. She said she stayed in a small hotel room in Thailand for a month, had limited access to food, and was constantly told to manage her weight. She also said she was kept inside for long periods and felt lonely and stressed.

The Miss Grand International organisation denied these claims and gave their own explanation. But Rachel’s story received a lot of support online, especially from her fans in India and other countries.

With the current Miss Universe controversy, many people are now looking again at Rachel’s past statements. Some say her warnings are now visible. Others believe these recent events highlight a bigger issue about how beauty queens are treated behind the scenes.
