Emiratis can renew passports in just 5 minutes at Zayed Intl Airport

Emirati travelers passing through Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport can now renew their passports in less than five minutes. This service is available for those whose passports have expired or have less than six months of validity remaining.

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Ports Security (ICP) has confirmed that passport renewal services are available 24/7 at the airport’s Customer Happiness Centre. This new facility aims to make travel easier for UAE nationals and ensure a smooth journey. It also strengthens Zayed International Airport’s reputation as a top-class travel hub.

Quick and Easy Passport Renewal

As per the ICP, the newly issued passport will be valid for up to ten years. Travelers only need to bring their expired or soon-to-expire passport—no extra documents are required. This service helps passengers avoid travel delays, as they can renew their passports without having to leave the airport.

Apart from passport renewals, the ICP office at the airport offers several other electronic services. These include updating traveler information, checking entry and exit records, and viewing visa and residency details.

For those who do not need urgent passport renewal, Emiratis can use different channels to get a new passport, such as:
