Emirates has today unveiled the initial cities in its network set to receive its newest Boeing 777 cabin interiors. Geneva, Tokyo Haneda, and Brussels are the first destinations where passengers can experience Emirates’ upgraded Premium Economy and next-generation Business Class seats in a new 1-2-1 layout.

Tickets for Emirates flights featuring the refurbished Boeing 777 to Geneva, Tokyo Haneda, and Brussels are now available for booking on emirates.com, the Emirates App, or through travel agents.

Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Airline, highlighted the significance of this fleet enhancement: “With the introduction of our newly retrofitted Boeing 777s, we are expanding access to our acclaimed products like Premium Economy across more cities served by this aircraft type in our network, alongside increased seating options across four classes.”

He emphasized, “Drawing inspiration from our flagship A380, each cabin in our revamped Boeing 777 features top-tier customer comfort with contemporary design elements and signature finishes. Our new Business Class cabin prioritizes customer privacy and comfort, complemented by thoughtful amenities that reinforce our commitment to delivering exceptional value. This investment ensures a consistent experience across our Boeing 777s and A380s.”

The first upgraded Emirates Boeing 777 services will commence on the following routes:

- EK 83/84 to and from Geneva starting August 11
- EK 312/313 to and from Tokyo Haneda starting September 1
- EK 183/184 to and from Brussels starting September 11

Beginning July 1, Emirates will begin the comprehensive interior refurbishment of its first Boeing 777, a process expected to take about two weeks before the aircraft re-enters service. The upgrades include revamped First Class cabins, installation of 38 updated Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, introduction of 24 new Premium Economy seats, and installation of 256 Economy Class seats.

Emirates’ new Business Class seats on the Boeing 777 are designed for enhanced privacy and comfort, featuring spacious lie-flat beds, 20.7-inch wide seats with up to 44 inches of pitch, and direct aisle access for every seat. Each seat includes a touch-screen controller for in-flight entertainment and seat adjustment, a personal 23-inch HD screen connected to the award-winning ice entertainment system, a personal mini-bar, ample storage for personal devices, charging outlets, and more. Additionally, the Boeing 777 Business Class cabin will feature a small bar for passengers to enjoy snacks and refreshments mid-flight.

Emirates plans to refurbish a total of 81 Boeing 777s as part of its extensive retrofit program, with further destinations to receive the latest cabin products to be announced in the coming months. The airline has allocated 191 aircraft for complete refurbishment, representing an industry-leading investment exceeding US$3 billion to enhance onboard products and customer experiences.

Currently, Emirates operates refurbished A380 aircraft with Premium Economy to multiple global destinations, and aims to expand Premium Economy service to over 36 cities by February 2025, with the addition of the A350 to its fleet starting September 2024, alongside continued deployment of refurbished A380s and Boeing 777s to new destinations.
