Dubai International (DXB) kicked off the year with a remarkable achievement, marking its busiest quarter ever and solidifying its status as a pivotal global aviation hub and a crucial driver of Dubai's economy and the Middle East's aviation sector. During the first quarter, DXB experienced a notable surge in passenger numbers, welcoming a total of 23 million guests through its terminals, showcasing an 8.4% increase compared to the same period last year. Griffiths emphasized DXB's role in bolstering Dubai's position as a global magnet for talent, businesses, and tourists, while also highlighting the airport's commitment to enhancing the overall guest experience. With a promising start to the second quarter and an optimistic outlook for the remainder of the year, DXB revised its annual guest forecast to 91 million, surpassing its previous record set in 2018.

With total flight movements increasing by 8.3% year-on-year and a high load factor of 79.1%, DXB continues to manage passenger traffic effectively while ensuring operational excellence.
