The Houston Rockets and the Orlando Magic played a very exciting and close game in Houston. The match went into overtime, and both teams fought hard until the final second. In the end, the Houston Rockets won 117-113. The game was full of strong performances, tough defense, and important moments that changed the direction of the match.

Kevin Durant was the biggest star of the game. He scored a game-high 35 points and played an important role in the final minutes of the match. Durant helped the Rockets take the lead in overtime by assisting Amen Thompson on a big dunk with 51.8 seconds left. After that, Durant hit a short 12-foot pull-up jumper with only 9.2 seconds remaining. His shots and calm performance gave the Rockets confidence at the end of the game.

Durant was not alone in this victory. Alperen Sengun had an amazing night. He scored 30 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and made 8 assists. Sengun was very active around the basket and helped the Rockets remain strong in attack and defense. Many other players also gave strong performances:

  • Amen Thompson scored 12 points and collected 10 rebounds.

  • Reed Sheppard scored 16 points off the bench.

  • Steven Adams pulled down 13 rebounds.

  • Jabari Smith Jr. recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The Rockets worked hard to control the rebounds. They grabbed 60 rebounds, while the Magic only managed 38. This strong advantage helped Houston stay in the game even when they were behind.

The Orlando Magic also played very well, even though they were missing two important players — Paolo Banchero and Jalen Suggs — because of groin injuries. Franz Wagner led the Magic with 29 points and played with great energy. Desmond Bane also scored 26 points and made several important shots. Anthony Black added 18 points and had some big moments, especially in the final seconds of regulation time.

The game had many exciting moments, especially near the end of the fourth quarter. With only 21.9 seconds left, Kevin Durant hit a three-pointer to tie the game at 100-100. But soon after, Durant lost his balance after receiving the ball, and Anthony Black stole the ball and scored a dunk. This gave Orlando a 102-100 lead with just 1.7 seconds remaining.

Sengun was fouled on the play, but Black missed the free throw. With only 0.2 seconds left, Sengun scored for Houston to tie the game and push it into overtime. The crowd in Houston cheered loudly as the game continued.

In overtime, the Rockets played calmer and stronger. Durant’s leadership helped, and the team made important free throws at the end. Reed Sheppard and Amen Thompson made four late free throws that sealed the win for Houston. Orlando tried to fight back, but Houston’s defense stayed strong and did not allow easy shots.

Earlier in the match, the Magic had started very well. In the first quarter, they shot more than 54 percent and made 5 three-pointers. They even led by 14 points at one time. Wagner and Wendell Carter Jr. were very effective in the opening minutes. Orlando also played strong defense with five blocks in the first quarter.

Although Houston trailed by 14 points, the team never gave up. They slowly reduced the gap in the second and third quarters. By the fourth quarter, the Rockets had found their rhythm. Durant’s shooting, Sengun’s playmaking, and the team’s rebounding helped them force overtime and finally win.

The Rockets’ 117-113 overtime victory was a result of teamwork, patience, and confidence. Durant’s 35 points and Sengun’s all-round performance made the difference. The Magic fought bravely without key players, but Houston’s strong finish helped them take an important win at home.
