Dubai’s luxury transport sector has experienced a remarkable 44% increase in trips in 2024. The total number of trips reached 43,443,678, compared to 30,219,821 in 2023. This marks the highest growth in recent years for luxury transport services booked through e-hailing platforms.
This rapid growth highlights the success of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in improving mobility solutions for both residents and visitors. The rise in demand for luxury transport reflects the city’s expanding economy and its appeal as a major global hub for business and tourism.

Adel Shakri, Director of Planning and Business Development at the Public Transport Agency, RTA, shared insights on this progress. He stated, “This sector has seen steady growth over the years. In 2024, the number of passengers using luxury transport services reached 75.5 million, up from 52.5 million in 2023. This reflects the same 44% growth rate.”
He further explained that e-hail services have also seen a strong 32% increase. The number of trips booked through e-hailing apps jumped from 24,616,527 in 2023 to 32,556,975 in 2024. The number of companies operating in this sector has grown from 9 to 13, while the fleet size expanded from 12,602 to 16,396 vehicles during the same period.
The impressive growth in luxury transport and e-hailing services is a sign of Dubai’s continuous development. As the city strengthens its position as a global business and tourism destination, its transport network is evolving to meet the rising demand for premium mobility options.
