Dubai Food Hub: Al Ain Farms & Food Tech Valley Deal

Dubai – Al Ain Farms Group (AAFG) and Food Tech Valley, Dubai’s government-backed food innovation centre, have signed an agreement to develop a 260,000 sq.ft. logistics hub aimed at strengthening the UAE’s food security and supporting its Net Zero 2050 goals.

Announced at the Future Food Forum 2025 under the patronage of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, the facility is expected to accelerate fresher food distribution across the UAE, reduce delivery distances, and cut CO₂ emissions by an estimated 2,500 tonnes annually. The hub will also lower fleet emissions by up to 35%, enhancing sustainability in the nation’s food supply chain.

Hassan Safi, Group CEO of Al Ain Farms Group, highlighted the benefits of the partnership: “This hub is a testament to the power of strong partnerships in the UAE, driving greater in-country value. By working together with a local UAE company, Food Tech Valley, we are delivering fresher food faster, strengthening the local economy, and building a sustainable, resilient food system.”

Safi added that the collaboration will increase delivery efficiency by 33%, reduce waste, and streamline operations, contributing to the UAE’s vision of a smarter, greener, and self-reliant future.

Construction of the facility is scheduled to begin in late 2025, with completion expected in the first quarter of 2027. The project is projected to create over 100 jobs in logistics and operations while incorporating advanced technologies to support innovation and efficiency.
