The first meeting of Dubai Health’s Board of Directors for its second term was held recently. The meeting was chaired by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum and was attended by His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice Chairman of the Board. During the meeting, the board approved a plan to build a new Diabetes Centre. This center will open in 2026 and will meet the highest international standards. The new center is part of Dubai Health’s commitment to supporting the Dubai Social Agenda 33, which aims to improve health and promote healthy living.

At the meeting, the board also talked about Dubai Health’s achievements during its first term and discussed new plans for improving healthcare in the city. They reviewed the progress of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital, along with other important projects.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed shared that Dubai Health aims to make Dubai a global leader in healthcare, medical education, and research. He thanked the teams at Dubai Health for their hard work and reminded them to always put patients first. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed also said that Dubai Health will do everything possible to make Dubai a world leader in healthcare excellence.

A major topic of discussion at the meeting was the new Diabetes Centre. This new center will be much bigger than the current one, covering more than 53,000 square feet. It will allow Dubai Health to treat double the number of patients over the next 10 years. The new center will provide a wide range of services and advanced treatments to make healthcare better for patients.

The new center will be easily accessible from many parts of Dubai and will have a design that focuses on patients’ needs. Dr. Raja Easa Al Gurg, a member of the Dubai Health Board, said the new center will help improve Dubai’s healthcare system by using the latest medical technologies. The goal is to provide the best care possible for people with diabetes.

Dr. Mohamed Farooqi, the Director of the Diabetes Centre, said the new center will build on Dubai Health’s experience in treating diabetes. It will focus on both treating the disease and preventing it. The center will also offer services like heart care, kidney care, and eye care to help patients with all their health needs.

The new Diabetes Centre will use the latest medical technology to offer the best care. It will also aim to make patients’ experiences as smooth and easy as possible. The focus will be on improving the long-term health of all diabetes patients in Dubai.

The new center is an important part of Dubai Health’s goal to improve healthcare in the city and provide the best care for people with diabetes. It will help Dubai Health continue to lead in offering high-quality healthcare in the region.
