The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has announced the Eid al-Fitr holidays for 1446 Hijri. In a circular issued recently, DGHR stated that all government offices, departments, and institutions in Dubai will be closed from the 1st of Shawwal 1446 AH until the 3rd of Shawwal 1446 AH. Work will officially resume on the 4th of Shawwal 1446 AH.

The circular also mentioned that if Ramadan lasts for 30 days, then the 30th day of Ramadan will be included in the Eid holidays, giving government employees an extra day off.

However, staff members working in certain sectors, such as public services and essential operations, will not be part of this holiday break. This includes employees working in shifts or those responsible for managing public facilities. To keep services running smoothly, these departments will decide the working hours for their staff based on their operational needs.

On this joyful occasion, DGHR expressed its warm wishes and congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. DGHR also extended its greetings to the Supreme Council members, the Rulers of the Emirates, and all citizens and residents of the UAE.

Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, is a time of celebration and togetherness, and the extended break will allow government employees to enjoy the festivities with their loved ones.
