The Dubai Games Organising Committee has announced several new sponsorships and partnerships for its sixth edition. Dubai Games is the city’s biggest community sporting event, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council.

Dubai Games has partnered with major organisations, including Dubai Sports Council, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), M42, C4, Dubai Festival City, Al-Futtaim Automotive, Al-Wasl Group (Viya), and Adidas. The tournament continues to grow globally and is set to begin on 20 February 2025. DP World is the official sponsor, while DAMAC Group and Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat) have joined as diamond partners.

His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, said, “We are proud to sponsor Dubai Games again. This event, led by Sheikh Hamdan, encourages sports and fitness as part of UAE culture. Our support aligns with the UAE’s Year of Community and our goal to promote a healthy lifestyle. Sports bring people together, strengthen social bonds, and inspire positive energy. We also encourage our employees to participate in sports for a balanced life and well-being.”

His Excellency Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, shared his excitement about renewing their partnership. “Dubai Games, launched by Sheikh Hamdan, has grown from a local event to a global one. It is unique because it welcomes teams from different institutions and nationalities, not just government entities. Each year, it evolves with exciting new features. The ‘Battle of the Community’ and ‘Battle of the Cities’ are fantastic additions, bringing more excitement and joy to both participants and fans.”

Marwan bin Essa, Director of Dubai Games, highlighted the importance of these partnerships. “We are honoured to have esteemed organisations as our partners. Their support reflects the growing status of Dubai Games as a top sporting event. These partnerships show the strong cooperation between the public and private sectors. Together, we promote teamwork, innovation, and excellence in sports, strengthening Dubai’s global reputation as a sports hub. Dubai Games is part of Sheikh Hamdan’s vision to make sports a key part of community well-being.”

He added, “The sixth edition of Dubai Games will be a milestone in the world of sports, both in the UAE and beyond. With the help of our dedicated partners, we aim to create an incredible sporting experience that inspires excellence, unity, and a strong sportsmanship culture.”

Ali Al Qaizi, Executive Director of Ahska (C4), emphasized the role of sports in personal development. “Dubai Games provides a great platform to empower talents and encourage positive competition. Through this event, we promote public health and an active lifestyle. We take pride in supporting social and human development initiatives in the UAE.”

Hayssam Hajjar, Asset Management Director at Al-Futtaim Real Estate, said, “We are excited to host Dubai Games at Dubai Festival City again. This event represents teamwork, resilience, and collaboration, which are values we deeply believe in. It is an honour to provide a stage where government and private sector teams compete and showcase their strength. With international participants, this year’s event will be a true celebration of unity and perseverance.”

Bilal Fares, SVP & GM of Adidas EMC, said, “At Adidas, we believe that sport has the power to change lives. We are thrilled to partner with Dubai Games and provide high-quality sportswear to help athletes push their limits. This partnership celebrates movement, resilience, and the unifying spirit of sport.”

Safeya Al Maqtari, CEO of Dubai & Northern Emirates, spoke about the healthcare sector’s role in sports. “Mubadala Health Dubai and Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Hospital proudly support this year’s Dubai Games. Our commitment is to promote health and fitness in the UAE. As part of M42, a global leader in AI-driven healthcare, we aim to provide world-class medical services across the UAE. We believe in a future where healthcare is more focused on prevention and precision.”

Dubai Games has introduced a fresh identity, making it a platform to inspire future generations to stay active. The event promotes values like renewal, ambition, and resilience, mirroring Dubai’s energetic spirit.

The sixth edition will feature over 240 teams competing in categories such as the Battle of the Government (Men and Women), Battle of the Community, Battle of the Cities, and Battle of the Juniors. The total prize pool is over AED 3.1 million.

Dubai Games 2025 began with the Battle of the Community pre-qualification on 1 February, followed by the Battle of the Juniors on 8 February at DAMAC Hills. The main championship will take place from 20 to 23 February 2025 at Dubai Festival City.
