Dubai Department of Finance (DOF) celebrated the graduation of 215 government employees from its professional programmes under the Maliyoun initiative.
The ceremony was attended by senior Dubai Government officials, including H.E. Abdulla Mohammed Al Basti, Secretary General of the Executive Council of Dubai, and H.E. Abdulrahman Saleh Al Saleh, Director General of DOF.
The Maliyoun initiative, launched in 2012, aims to build strong financial skills among government staff and promote financial sustainability. Officials praised the programme for preparing employees to meet future challenges in public finance, procurement, and tax management.
This year’s graduates completed three key certifications:
Public Finance Management – 81 graduates from 31 government entities
Sustainable Procurement – 74 graduates from 28 entities
Professional Tax Certification – 60 graduates from 28 entities
With a success rate of 98% and participant satisfaction at 95%, the initiative continues to play a vital role in advancing Dubai’s financial sector and strengthening its global position in public finance excellence.
