Dubai, UAE – During the Dubai Airshow 2025, a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked between the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and Dubai Police, aimed at bolstering cooperation in ensuring top-notch safety, security, and efficiency in the airspace over Dubai.
The MoU was signed by H.E. Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, alongside H.E. Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, with high-ranking officials from both entities in attendance.
This agreement signifies Dubai’s dedication to nurturing strategic alliances within the aviation industry, echoing its goal to establish a smart, safe, and globally integrated aviation scene. It is a pivotal stride in establishing Dubai as a front-runner in aviation safety and operational finesse.
H.E. Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri remarked on the significance of this collaboration, saying,
"The partnership with the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority is crucial for maintaining the safety and security of aviation activities in Dubai. It reinforces our preparedness for upcoming challenges and sets a solid foundation for better coordination and knowledge sharing."
H.E. Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi also emphasized the collective duty to protect Dubai's aviation sector, stating,
"Aviation is integral to Dubai's economy and infrastructure. By collaborating closely with Dubai Police, we aspire to maintain premier standards of safety, efficiency, and innovation in the emirate's airspace."
The MoU lays down a thorough framework for collaboration, addressing crucial areas like:
Collaborative training initiatives to boost air safety and emergency response preparedness
Shared expertise and information to enhance operational protocols
Streamlining processes between CAA and Dubai Police
Creation of joint policies to keep in step with advancements in aviation technology
This strategic collaboration marks a milestone in Dubai's ambition to craft a secure, efficient, and future-oriented aviation landscape, thereby positioning the emirate as a leading global center for safe and innovative air travel.
