DIFC Launches Dubai Financial Experts Program to Nurture Future National Leaders in Finance

The Dubai International Financial Centre has now implemented the Dubai Financial Experts Program, a special initiative aimed at preparing the next generation of Emirati leaders for key roles in finance and banking. These future leaders will play key roles in driving innovation and progress within the financial institutions of Dubai, the UAE, and beyond.

It is a collaborative program with the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Leadership Development (MBRCLD). It has been created with the purpose of enhancing the Emiratis' ability of skills and knowledge within the monetary sector, as well as leadership capabilities. The candidates will also develop an entrepreneurial mindset, bringing fresh ideas to solve the problems in the industry.

A Vision for Future Leaders
His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, and President of DIFC, said, "Dubai is committed to empowering Emirati talent in every way. He said the city is committed to providing its youth with the highest levels of education, training, and experience, in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Sheikh Maktoum also stressed that this program supports Dubai’s goal of developing specialized training programs to prepare national leaders who will strengthen the UAE’s position as a global economic hub. This initiative is also part of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to make Dubai a top economic power.

Building a Strong Financial Workforce
His Excellency Mohammad Al Gergawi, Chairman of The Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Chairman of MBRCLD, said the initiative stands testimony to Sheikh Mohammed's vision for developing a new generation of skilled leaders. Such leaders will manage, develop, and innovate within local, regional, and international financial institutions.

His Excellency Essa Kazim, Governor of DIFC, said that the program is designed to equip Emirati professionals with advanced financial knowledge and leadership skills.

"This program aligns with DIFC's 2030 strategy, which focuses on leading the future of finance, as well as the Dubai Economic Agenda D33."

Who Can Join?
The Dubai Financial Experts Program is open to UAE nationals aged 25 to 35 who have 5 to 10 years of work experience, including experience in the financial sector. Ideal candidates should have:

A strong educational background
Experience as team leaders or strategic project managers
A proven track record of success in their field
Participants will be selected through a detailed assessment of their leadership potential and financial expertise.

What the Program Offers
The program consists of six major parts, focusing on different aspects of financial leadership. Some of the highlights include:

Specialized courses on leadership and innovation in financial services
Training in collaboration with the University of Oxford
Learning opportunities with top financial experts from Silicon Valley
Mentorship programs with experienced industry leaders
Job shadowing at major financial institutions to gain hands-on experience
One of the notable aspects of this program is that there will be a capstone project, wherein students will learn how to implement the knowledge in real-life issues facing the financial industry. Additionally, they get the opportunity to meet high-level leaders in the financial and economic fields.

Graduation will culminate at the Dubai World Trade Centre during the Mohammed bin Rashid Leaders Forum 2025.

The Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Leadership Development focuses on developing the future leaders of Emirati nationals. This kind of program by the center helps in identifying and training talented people who can play key leadership roles in various sectors.
