DEWA Rebrands Innovation Centre to 'Sustainability and Innovation Centre

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has updated the name of its Innovation Centre to the ‘Sustainability and Innovation Centre.’ This change aligns with DEWA’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainability in Dubai and support the Year of Sustainability in the UAE. It also reinforces DEWA’s vision to be a globally leading sustainable and innovative corporation committed to achieving Net-Zero emissions by 2050.

Located at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the Sustainability and Innovation Centre serves as a global hub for innovation in clean and renewable energy. The Centre offers a unique educational environment, hosting various programmes and activities throughout the year. It builds strategic partnerships with major local and international organisations and universities, fostering awareness and engagement in sustainability.

Visitors to the Sustainability and Innovation Centre can explore the latest advancements in sustainability and clean energy technologies. The first-floor exhibition area highlights DEWA’s journey, significant historical inventions and innovations in electricity, and the latest developments in renewable and sustainable energy. The Centre also features innovative drone and hologram shows, providing an immersive experience. Using Metaverse technology, visitors can take a virtual tour of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the largest single-site solar park in the world based on the Independent Power Producer (IPP) model.

The Centre is open to visitors from Saturday to Wednesday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Hologram shows are scheduled every Sunday and Wednesday at 10:30 am and 02:30 pm. The Centre offers discounts on tickets for children and students and provides free entrance for people of determination, making it accessible and inclusive for all.
