Earlier in the day, Delhi BJP councillor Ravinder Singh Negi staged a symbolic protest against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government by rowing an inflatable boat on a flooded street in Vinod Nagar. Negi criticized the Public Works Department (PWD) for failing to clean drains adequately ahead of the monsoon, exacerbating the waterlogging issue across several parts of the capital.

The chaotic scenes underscored the vulnerability of Delhi's infrastructure to heavy rainfall, raising concerns about the city's preparedness for such weather events.
