Disney, speaking to CNBC, articulated a sentiment of concern rather than disrespect towards Biden, emphasizing the critical stakes of the upcoming election. Stein, meanwhile, disclosed to the New York Times that his family plans to redirect a significant sum—$3.5 million—away from the Biden campaign unless there is a shift in the party’s presidential candidate.

Lindelof has been particularly vocal, advocating for a financial "DEMbargo" against the Democratic National Committee as long as Biden remains the candidate. His call to action, detailed in a public essay, encourages other donors to halt their financial support in a bid to trigger a leadership change at the top of the ticket.

During a conference in Colorado, Emanuel echoed this strategy, pointing out to the Financial Times that the withholding of campaign donations might be the most effective strategy to prompt Biden's withdrawal from the race. He indicated that many significant donors are already redirecting their funds towards Congressional and Senate races instead.

While some donors like Reed Hastings, co-founder of Netflix, have not threatened to cut funds, they have publicly urged Biden to consider stepping down for the sake of the party’s future.
