Dubai’s Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) is working hard to bring the community together and teach Islamic values through the “Ayal Al-Freej” initiative. In the first week of Ramadan, more than 2,000 children took part in activities at 195 mosques across Dubai. To encourage participation, IACAD also increased the number of accredited mosques and handed out over 1,200 motivational vouchers to children.
This initiative shows IACAD’s dedication to guiding the younger generation and helping them feel more connected to mosques. By doing so, the department hopes to build a generation that understands and follows religious and social values.

Mohammed Musabeh Ali Dhahi, who leads the Charitable Work Sector and coordinates Ramadan initiatives in Dubai, explained that the program reflects the deep values of Emirati society. He said the goal is to strengthen children's bond with mosques through creative methods that address community needs. He also mentioned that the high number of participants in the first week proves how important such programs are in making mosque visits and regular prayer a daily habit, not just during Ramadan but beyond as well.
IACAD aims to stay close to the community by listening to its needs and launching meaningful initiatives that benefit individuals and families. The department is committed to providing the necessary support and working with different groups to ensure that children and their families gain the most from these efforts. They also want to make mosques more than just places of worship—turning them into learning and community centers in residential neighborhoods.
This initiative is part of IACAD’s long-term plan to increase religious awareness and promote good values among children. By doing this, they hope to shape a future where these values remain a natural part of everyday life.
