Australia Arrives in Dubai, South Africa to Fly to UAE for CT 2025 Semifinal

The Australian cricket team has reached Dubai as they prepare for a possible semifinal match against India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Meanwhile, South Africa is set to travel to Dubai on Sunday, according to sources.

Both teams have already secured their spots in the semifinals from Group B. However, their opponents will be decided after the final group-stage match between India and New Zealand, which will be held in Dubai on Sunday. If India wins, they will finish at the top of Group A and play against Australia on March 4 in Dubai. At the same time, New Zealand will then face South Africa, who finished first in Group B.

If New Zealand wins and finishes at the top of Group A, they will face Australia in the semifinals, while India will take on South Africa instead.

While most of the Champions Trophy 2025 is being hosted in Pakistan, India’s matches are being played in Dubai under a special arrangement known as the hybrid model. This was decided because India chose not to travel to Pakistan due to safety reasons.

Depending on the outcome of the India vs. New Zealand match, either Australia or South Africa will have to fly back to Pakistan for their semifinal match, according to sources.
