Air Arabia, a budget airline in Sharjah, has announced a new rule allowing passengers to carry up to 10 kilograms of hand luggage. This is more than most other airlines, which only let passengers bring 7 kilograms of cabin baggage.

The total weight of all cabin baggage, which includes your carry-on bags, personal items, and any duty-free items, should not be more than 10 kilograms. The carry-on bag must not be bigger than 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm (this includes handles, pockets, and wheels). A personal item, like a small handbag or a backpack, must be no bigger than 25 cm x 33 cm x 20 cm.
This new rule applies to all flights leaving from Air Arabia’s base in Sharjah, and also from its hubs in Egypt and Morocco.
If you're flying with an infant, you can bring one more bag for things like baby food, diapers, or clothes, weighing up to 3 kilograms. This extra bag must fit under the seat in front of you, and you must tell the check-in staff about it. A special tag will be put on this extra bag.
At the gate, Air Arabia staff will check your cabin baggage to make sure it follows the rules about weight, size, and how many bags you have. If your bags are too heavy or big, you will have to pay a fee of Dh100, or the same amount in other currencies, for each bag.
The airline also has rules for personal items. You can bring one small item, like a laptop bag or a handbag. This item must also fit under the seat in front of you and should not be larger than 25 cm x 33 cm x 20 cm. When you check in, you must tell the staff about your personal item, and they will put a tag on it.
This new baggage rule from Air Arabia gives passengers more flexibility while keeping the boarding process smooth and organized.
