The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has started pricing for the first-ever bond in the region that uses blockchain technology. This is called a digital bond. It is issued by First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) with the help of HSBC Orion, which is a top digital assets platform.
This listing is an important step for ADX. It shows that ADX wants to lead in financial technology and help Abu Dhabi become more digital. The bond was created through teamwork between ADX, HSBC, and FAB. HSBC Orion, which works from Hong Kong, powers this bond. Big international law firms also helped to make sure everything follows the rules properly.

Global investors can buy this digital bond through their accounts with CMU, Euroclear, and Clearstream. They can also join HSBC Orion directly or use their current custodian bank to take part.
By adding this digital bond, ADX wants to give more modern and smart products to investors. It also shows that ADX is leading in bringing tokenised finance to the market. Digital bonds use blockchain technology. They make work faster, settle payments quickly, lower risks, and keep everything safe and clear for big investors.
HSBC played a main role as the global coordinator, lead manager, and bookrunner for this bond. They helped bring this blockchain bond to the Middle East and North Africa region for the first time.
Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi, the CEO of ADX, said that this is a big moment for them. He said ADX worked hard to make sure the bond works well with their current systems and meets global standards.
Lars Kramer, the CFO of FAB, said that this bond shows how they are making finance more efficient, clear, and safe, while following UAE’s rules.
Mohamed Al Marzooqi, CEO of HSBC UAE, said that this bond shows how HSBC is turning the idea of tokenisation into something real for the region.
This bond is made to work with global settlement systems. It combines new digital technology with traditional markets, making it easier for big investors to take part and showing the future of finance.
