The Abu Dhabi Turf Club is all set to host an exciting day of horse racing on Saturday, 22nd November 2025. The highlight of the day will be the prestigious Pride of the Nation race, also called the "Eid Al Etihad Cup," featuring purebred Arabian horses. This Group 3 race will cover a distance of 1600 meters and is part of the fifth evening of the new racing season, which includes a total of seven thrilling races. The total prize money for the day's events is AED 900,000.
The Eid Al Etihad Cup will take place as the fourth race of the day. This important race will have 14 purebred Arabian horses, all aged four years and older. The prize for this race alone is AED 500,000, making it one of the most competitive and anticipated races of the season. Fans and enthusiasts are expected to witness exciting performances as these top-level horses compete for the coveted title.
The day will feature seven races, each offering a unique challenge and prize money for participants. The first race is the Saqr of Abu Dhabi Classic, a purebred Arabian maiden race for horses aged four years and above. This race will run over 2400 meters on turf, with a prize of AED 66,000.
The second race is the Path of the Federation Handicap. It is a handicap race for purebred Arabian horses aged four years and above, also running 2400 meters on turf, with a prize of AED 66,000. This race will test the endurance and strategy of the participating horses and jockeys.
The third race is the Bani Yas Mile, a maiden race for three-year-old purebred Arabian horses. This race will cover 1600 meters on turf and has a prize of AED 66,000. The young horses will have a chance to show their potential and skill in this exciting competition.
The fourth race is the main event, the Pride of the Nation Stakes or National Day Cup, with 14 horses competing over 1600 meters on turf. This Group 3 race is open to horses aged four years and above and offers a top prize of AED 500,000. It is expected to be a thrilling spectacle for horse racing fans.
The fifth race is the Wathba Stallions Cup, a handicap race for purebred Arabian horses aged four years and above, covering 1400 meters on turf with a prize of AED 70,000. This race will test the speed and agility of the competing horses.
The sixth race is the Rising Star Maiden, a 1400-meter race on turf for three-year-old and older Thoroughbred horses, offering a prize of AED 66,000. This race provides a platform for emerging talent in the racing world.
The final race of the day is the Al Barq Sprint, a 1200-meter handicap race for Thoroughbred horses aged three years and above, with a prize of AED 66,000. This fast-paced race will conclude the day's events in an exciting finish.
