The Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority is set to participate in the upcoming Tan-Tan Moussem Cultural Festival in Morocco, scheduled to take place from June 26 to June 30, 2024. This prestigious event, held under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, will mark its latest edition under the theme "20 Years of Conservation and Human Development."
His Excellency Abdulla Mubarak Al Muhairi, Acting Director General of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, highlighted the significance of their longstanding participation in the Tan-Tan Cultural Moussem since 2014. Their involvement aims to showcase the rich and diverse heritage of the UAE, emphasizing Abu Dhabi's efforts in preserving intangible cultural heritage.
Emphasizing the importance of such cultural exchanges, His Excellency underscored their role in promoting Emirati traditions on the global stage and fostering understanding and appreciation of shared cultural values with Morocco. This participation reflects the deep-rooted and growing ties between the UAE and Morocco beyond mere diplomatic relations.

At the UAE Pavilion during the festival, the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority plans to present a comprehensive display of Emirati intangible heritage. Collaborating with the Emirates Camel Racing Federation, they will organize heritage competitions including camel races, beauty pageants, and camel milking contests.
The pavilion will feature a vibrant array of events designed to educate visitors about Emirati culture. Attendees can enjoy performances by folk arts groups, live demonstrations of traditional handicrafts, authentic Emirati cuisine, photo exhibitions, traditional games, poetry readings, and concerts featuring prominent Emirati artists.
The Tan-Tan Moussem Cultural Festival is renowned for celebrating Bedouin culture in Morocco and North Africa. It serves as a platform to showcase various facets of Bedouin traditions through a diverse program of music, art, and cultural activities that bridge historical practices with contemporary expressions, all while honoring the desert heritage. This festival provides a unique opportunity to experience and celebrate the shared cultural heritage of Arab communities, intertwined with the distinctive Saharawi culture.
