The Abu Dhabi BAPS Hindu temple, with its intricate stone carvings, exquisite artworks, and impressive architecture, has captivated thousands of visitors from the UAE and beyond. As the Middle East's first traditional Hindu stone temple, it has attracted worshippers and tourists alike since opening its doors to the public. The hand-carved stone works depicting tales from ancient scriptures have left visitors in awe, describing the temple as a source of positive energy. Puja Patel from Atlanta expressed her amazement at witnessing history in the UAE desert, surrounded by peace, love, and harmony. Similarly, Anjani Vaghela from Leicester was mesmerized by the beauty of the mandir, seeing it as the realization of a historic creation envisioned by Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
The temple's inception dates back to April 1997 when Pramukh Swami Maharaj envisioned its creation during a visit to a desert in Sharjah. Visitors like Upasana Chag from London have described it as a masterpiece of art and a must-see place of worship. Long-time Abu Dhabi resident Pradeep KP shared his joy at being able to visit with his family, feeling the positive vibes and appreciating the orderly arrangements. Alisha Moopen from Dubai found the temple to be an architectural marvel, symbolizing India's rich cultural heritage and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to fostering international harmony.
For Minisha Patel from South Africa, visiting the temple brought feelings of inspiration, while Shraddha Patel from London admired the unique architecture and the blending of Indian and Arabic traditional designs. Saruben, who traveled from Johannesburg with her family, described the temple as an abode of peace and harmony, likening it to a lotus blossoming in the desert. The temple, open six days a week, offers visitors a glimpse into the beauty of Indian culture and spirituality, showcasing the dedication and determination of its creators. Visitors are required to register online to gain entry, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all.
